Salaried GP

We are looking for a commited and enthusiastic Salaried GP (with a view to Partnership) to provide 5-8 sessions per week, with the opportunity to work flexibly.

Join our semi-rural Practice and with the full support of the multidisciplinary team, you will have the opportunity to provide high quality primary care services for a mixed demographic population of ~36,000 patients.

We are offering:
o 15 minutes allocated for patient appointments during collective action
o Flexible working plan with up to 25% of your time remote working
o Competitive salary plus NHS pension and GMC fees paid
o Potential to become a Partner in future, if desired
o 7 weeks leave (pro rata) and 9 sessions study leave per annum (pro rata)
o 6 Partners, 14 Salaried GPs and a total of around 135 staff
o 19 Practice Nurses, 8 Health Care Assistants, 2 Phlebotomists and 1 Paramedic
o A team of Nurse Practitioners who manage our urgent ‘on the day’ care
o A dedicated Mental Health Nurse and a Social Prescribing team
o Pharmacists who manage patient medication queries, reviews, and discharge letters
o Embracing IT systems to minimise GP workload and a fantastic admin team who provides efficient and friendly support
o We regularly invest in collective and individual staff training
o We are a Medical Academy and Training Practice supporting student training and future GPs
o We work closely with our established Primary Care Network Community Services and the CCG
o We achieved a ‘Good’ CQC report in September 2018 and again in Feb 2022

Our team includes a diverse range of clinicians. We have a strong team ethos across our Practice, making time for a coffee catch up each morning and a Partner mentor will be on hand to support and nurture you in your new role, as well as offer ongoing clinical support as you need it.

The post will give the opportunity for professional development through a working plan that suits you, working within a dedicated team and building close links with the community and other neighbouring Practices. The Practice is part of Melton, Syston and the Vale Primary Care Network (PCN), joining forces with Jubilee Medical Practice, County Medical Practice, and the Vale Medical Group to provide care that is fit for the future
