Your doctor will now text you your blood test results routinely to your mobile phone number registered with us.
Blood samples and other tests are sent to a hospital laboratory for analysis daily. The timing of test results can vary. You can check your results in the NHS App or please allow up to 10 working days for results to come back before contacting us.
If your result needs urgent attention, we'll give you a call to talk about what to do next. If it’s less urgent, we'll get in touch with next steps within a reasonable time frame.
If your result is satisfactory or if the doctor has additional information for you, we will send you a text message.
Unfortunately, we are unable to add details of the specific blood test being reported or who the result relates to. Please bear this in mind if your number is shared with someone else.
