Travel Vaccinations Update – Summer 2025

We would like to inform our patients that, due to reduced nursing capacity, there have been delays in providing travel vaccinations as promptly as we would like. We apologise for any inconvenience this may have caused and appreciate your understanding.

We are pleased to announce that the measures we have implemented to address this issue have been successful, and from September 2025 we will be increasing our capacity to offer travel vaccination services.

Important guidance:
The NHS recommends seeing a GP or private travel clinic at least 6 to 8 weeks before your planned travel. We advise contacting our Practice at least 12 weeks prior to your trip. This allows sufficient time to review your pre-travel questionnaire and schedule any necessary appointments accordingly.

Please remember to research the travel vaccinations you may require when booking your holiday or destination. Some vaccines require multiple doses over several weeks or months, and not all vaccinations are available at the GP Practice.

If you need a summary of your current vaccination record to share with alternative providers, please contact the Practice and we will be happy to assist.

Should you submit an online travel vaccination request that we are unable to accommodate, you will receive an SMS advising you to seek alternative options.

Thank you for your patience and cooperation as we continue to improve our services to better support your travel health needs.
